How to ensure you have the latest version of the Zaptic App - Update FAQs

Zaptic App updates

At Zaptic we often release exciting new app updates that contain new features as well as improvements to stability and bug fixes!

New release FAQs - Staying up to date!

How long will it take for a new Zaptic version to be available on the app store?

Once we release a new version of the app, this is then sent to the relevant app stores for review and publishing by their teams.

Google and Apple are usually quick to have this live, so it does not often take any longer than 24 hours - but please be aware that at this stage any small delays are caused by those teams and their review processes.

If I log out of the app, and back in again, does this update my app?

While sometimes suggested as a way to troubleshoot certain bugs, relogging will not cause your app to update to a newly released version.

Relogging is a way of refreshing and re-downloading data to your app from our servers, which can resolve some small bugs, and should not be used as a method to attempt a version update.

Will you update the app for me?

Managing updates across devices is the customer's obligation and responsibility, and Zaptic cannot assist in updating your app for you.

You can manage app updates using software such as MDM software - if this is in place at your site.

You can also ask users to manually update their app, or enable automatic app updates on a user device if this feature is available. This way of automatic app updates is managed directly by the app stores and will vary from device and operating system used.

How can I check my current app version?

You can check your current app version easily, by logging into the app and navigating to the settings cog in the top-left corner.

At the bottom of this page you will see the app version displayed as a number - such as 125.
